    Loshamn is an idyllic coastal town on the southern tip of Norway. It may seem peaceful today, but in the 19th century, it was the center of Norwegian pirate activity.

    Episode 3: “Fierce Creatures”

    More than 200 ships were seized during the years of the piracy business at Loshamn, but not a single person was killed. The fiercest creatures roaming the seas these days, however, are the European Lobsters.

    Crab Coctail with Dill
    The first dish of the day is a Crab Cocktail with Dill. Crab dishes like this should be made as simple as possible and Andreas adds only mayonnaise, cream and a little bit of lemon to enhance the flavor.

    Lobster Fishing
    Though the history of Loshamn may have been violent, the locals today have more friendly manners. Andreas joins one of them and goes lobster fishing.

    Preparing the Main Dishes
    Back at Loshamn, he starts preparing a dinner based on the fresh lobster he just caught. But before you can eat the lobster, they have to die. To keep up Norway’s peacekeeping image, Andreas shows you a more humane way of killing the lobster than the well-known method of boiling them.

    Two lobster dishes are on the menu: the Lobster Bisque and the Tarragon Lobster. Both are tasty versions of a classic, exclusive treat that are accompanied by a rich, Creamy Potato Salad with Red Onions.
