Christmas in Lillehammer will provide you with many memorable experiences during a time of the year when family, friends and delicious food are in focus. There are plenty of things to see and do in town every day, sleigh rides, Santa’s helpers and crowds all enjoying a peaceful and joyful atmosphere.

    Alpine and Cross-country Skiing
Kanthaugen Freestyle Arena and the Bobsleigh and Luge Track host Lillehammer’s most enjoyable winter activities. Hafjell Alpine Centre is located just 15km north of Lillehammer.  The snow conditions are very stable. In all, Hafjell offers 32km and the longest slope at the facility is 5km long.

    Untouched Wilderness
If you fancy a trip on your own in untouched mountain countryside, we can offer you that, too. The trails usually start right outside the door of your accommodation at Nordseter and Sjusjøen. The real pearl among skiing trails is the one between Nordseter and Sjusjøen – simply a unique experience.

    Moose and Husky Safaris
Moose safari is a new and exciting event that starts up as soon as the snow has made the moose move down to their winter feeding grounds.  Remember to bring with your camera. Starts at Sjusjøen. And at Sjusjøen you can also take part in organised Husky safaris.
