Berries: Use berries of your own choice, like raspberries, blueberries, blackberries
This is a wonderful tart with fresh berries. I got the recipe from my friend Mariann, who visits my summer farm every summer, hence the name.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees (175 C).
Pre-bake the pie crust for 15 minutes.
Stir theCrème fraîche soft. Cut the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds and mix into theCrème fraîche. Make sure you mix well. Add sugar. Separate egg yolks from the whites and add the egg yolks to theCrème fraîche mixture.
Add the berries to the pie crust and pour over theCrème fraîche mixture. Bake it in the oven on 175 C for 30 minutes. To garnish, add some fresh berries on top of the tart.
