Waffles with Birch Syrup

INGREDIENTS:

Number of servings

10 waffles

List of ingredients

1 cup (2 ½ dl) milk

1 cup (2 ½ dl) cultured milk

¾ cup (2 dl) rolled oats

½ cup (1 dl) white flour

2 eggs

3 tbs. sugar

½ tsp. baking powder

4 tbs. butter, melted

1 cup (2 ½ dl) sour cream

5 tbs. birch or maple syrup

PREPARATION:

  • Soak the oats in milk for 30 minutes. Mix all the other ingredients in a separate bowl. Mix the oats and milk into the other ingredients. Allow the mixture to swell for another 30 minutes. Brush a hot waffle iron with butter and cook the waffles until they are golden brown.

  • Serve the hot waffles with sour cream and birch syrup.
