INGREDIENTS:

Main ingredient

4 pints strawberries

Marinade

2 ½ cups white wine

1 ½ cups corn syrup or honey

Fresh mint

1 ½ cups Crème Fraîche

3 tablespoons powdered sugar

PREPARATION:

  • Cut the strawberries into slices and put them in a bowl.

  • Add the wine, corn syrup (or honey) and mint and mix with the strawberries.

  • Whip the Crème Fraîche and sugar with an electric mixer until it reaches a firm consistency.

  • Put the strawberries into 4 serving bowls and top with a scoop of Crème Fraîche.

Wine and Drinks

In this recipe, a really sweet wine should be used, such as a Muscatel from Italy.

Economy: Cheap muscatel

Mid-range: inexpensive muscatel

Gourmet: more expensive muscatel.
