INGREDIENTS:

List of ingredients

10 fillets of salt herring, soaked overnight in a mixture of milk and water

1 thinly sliced apple

2 sliced yellow onions

2 dl. (6,8 fl. oz.) apple cider vinegar

1 dl. (3,4 fl. oz.) boiling water

1 tbs. honey

1 tbs. coriander seeds

3 – 4 thin slices of horseradish

PREPARATION:

  • Dissolve the honey in a bit of boiling water. Add the vinegar and spices. Place the herring, onion, apple, coriander and horseradish in a Kilner jar.

  • Leave to stand for four days in the fridge before serving.
